What happens when you stop trying to decide what a piece of art should become and begin listening for what wants to emerge?
Join Sky Bradshaw of SeQueenArt for an intimate artist talk held in conjunction with Sip, Shimmer, and Sprout. Sky will share how intuition influences her creative process, from the first spark of an idea through the unfolding of a finished piece, and how listening rather than forcing allows meaning, imagery, and story to emerge.
Taking place on October 31, the conversation will also explore Sky’s sequin portrait work, which focuses exclusively on people who have passed away, and the role ancestral connection—whether personal or otherwise—can play in the creative process.
Through conversation and stories from her own work, Sky will invite you behind the shimmer of the finished pieces and into the intuitive process that helps create them.
